In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HAWKINS, David Leslie - Age 64, passed away on November 18, 2015, in QM Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Gordon and Dorothy Hawkins. He served with the Navy from 1971, until he retired in 1993. After retirement, he tinkered in mechanics for a number of years. He also made delicious homemade bread and rolls for his family and friends. He was a loving husband to Fran (Murphy) for 37 years. Beloved father of Gary (Barb), Steven (Caroline), Jim ) and Holly (Joseph); stepsons, David (Nancy) and family and Bill (Brenda). Loving grandfather of Aurora, Oscar, Donnie, Catherine and Vincent, as well as his two fur babies, Benji and Ginger. He is survived by his brothers, John ) and family, Arlene (Pat) and Doug and family, and Donnie (Linda). He was predeceased by stepfather, Albert Boudreau and his sister, Allison. Cremation has taken place. The Memorial Service will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, Sackville Chapel, 125 Sackville Dr., on Tuesday, November 24, at 2.m. Reception to follow.
