In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WILLIAMS, Gordon Francis - went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2023, surrounded by his family at all times. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Arthur and Edith (Fleet) Williams.
Gordon joined the Navy in 1963 travelling to Europe, Austrailia, New Zealand, many southern islands throughout the Caymans, as well as United States and Canada. He was married February 1965, then three days later said goodbye to his loving wife Mary for a five-month European tour.
Gordon was a member of the Parish of New Ross Anglican Church for several years. He also was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 79, New Ross, where he served as the Service Officer and on the Executive.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Mary (Fall), sons, David and Michael (Jessica), grandchildren, Emily, Annabelle (Grey), Bryden, and Zoelle; siblings, Nancy (Clary) Shaw, and Jim Williams; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on November 18, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, with a reception to follow in the Royal Canadian Legion Br 79, New Ross. Family Flowers only. Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 79 Roof Fund or the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross.
