GREVILLE, John Edward Alan - Passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on August 24, 2013 in his 89th year at South Muskoka Hospital in Bracebridge. Beloved husband of 33 years to Gaye (nee Anderson). Loving father of Dawn Greville, Vikki Harper (Kelly), and Nicholas Klymson (Bianca), Cherished grandfather of Michael (Larissa), Alyssa (Mike), Reilly, Quinn and Brandon. Great grand-father of Katrina and Jenna. Dear brother of Russell (Barb). Deeply missed by his niece and nephew: Christine (Mark) and Paul (Cathy) and their families. Born and raised in Toronto, WWII veteran (HMCS Middlesex), worked for Howden's Hardware, then owned Oakville Hardware for 8 years, later Oakville Wholesale Hardware before spending his retirement in Muskoka, on Henshaw Lake in Port Carling then Gravenhurst. Assisted in starting the 1st Oakville United Appeal Bathtub race. Oakville Harbour Master in the 60's. He loved his wood working, playing games with everyone, plus telling humorous stories. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. At Alan's request, cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.
