In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HEALY, Michael John (Mick) - Age 77, passed away September 30, 2023 in Dartmouth General Hospital. He was born in London, England on Jan. 11, 1946. He was the eldest son of Clive and Doris (Venus) Healy.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and brother Kevin.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita, of 56 years; daughter, Adriane; grandson, Cameron; sister-in-law, Robyn Peterson (Ron) and Deborah Campbell (Jay); two sisters, Mary and Melinda; brother, Ken all in Winnipeg; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Mick served in the British and Canadian Navy and he also served on Oil Tankers, Off-shore supply vessels and the Scotia Prince Ferry.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed soccer, wrestling and playing cards especially bridge.
Most of all Mick enjoyed spending time with his family, canoeing, and puttering in the yard.
There will be a private memorial for family and friends at a later date.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Dartmouth General for the care and consideration shown in his last days.
