NICKERSON, George William - 56, of Argyle Sound, Yarmouth County, died Sunday at home. He was the son of the late James and Della (Killam) Nickerson. He retired five years ago as an engineer on the MV Bluenose where he worked for nine years. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in the Canadian Provost Corps and three years in the Royal Canadian Navy. Surviving are three sons, Eugene, Perry Sound, Ont.; George and James in Ontario; two brothers, Sam, Yarmouth, and Vaughn, in Massachusetts; a sister, Evelyn (Mrs. Clive Morrell). A brother, Lawrence, predeceased him in 1959. The body is at Sweeny's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Argyle United Baptist Church, Rev. L. R. Graves officiating.
