GAUTHIER, Raymond Eugene Dailes - It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Raymond Eugene Dailes Gauthier on March 28, 2023. He was born in Charlottetown, PEI, on December 28, 1934. Dailes served in the Royal Canadian Navy in his younger years as a PO2. After leaving the Navy, he trained as an accountant and had a successful career with the Abbey Lane Hospital. After his retirement he worked as a Commissionaire on the Angus L. MacDonald Bridge until finally retiring for good. He is predeceased by a brother, Lawrence and an infant son, Lawrence Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gloria (Chappell), his son and wife, Paul and Cherry, and a sister, Susan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Visitation is Sunday, April 2nd, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and the funeral is Monday, April 3rd, 2 p.m., at Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street, Dartmouth. Reception to follow. Burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lower Sackville. For those who wish to do so, donations to a charity of choice in Dailes’ memory would be appreciated by the family.
