BURY, Norman (Norm) - Passed away surrounded by the love of his family and extended family at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday December 16, 2012, in his 90th year. Loving husband for over 61 years of Madeline. Beloved father of Scott (Kathie) and the late Karl Bury (2004). Norm is survived by his brother Ross Bury (Del). He is predeceased by his parents, James and Lillian Bury and by his siblings, James Bury and Winnie Mroz and by his niece, Patricia Lynch. He will be fondly remembered and loved by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Norm was very proud of his time that he served Canada in the Royal Canadian Navy during the second world war and became an active member of the Brant Naval Veterans Association. He worked for many years with Spalding's and then with Corps of Commissionaires until his retirement in 1989. Norm was an avid golfer, fisherman and loved all sports as a player, coach and a spectator. Friends will be received at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:30 am. The Reverend Heather Robinson of St. James Anglican Church to officiate. Interment to follow Farringdon Burial Ground. Norman's brother, Stoker 1c James E. Bury, died when HMCS GUYSBOROUGH was sunk during the Second World War.
