Jack's grew in the Silverthorne area of what is now Toronto, ON during the Second World War and attended Silverthorne Public School and York Memorial Collegiate.  He was trained as a Commando in Combined Operations and served in the Dieppe Raid.

 

Ships served in:

HMCS IROQUOIS - Appointed to IROQUOIS 14 May 1956 as a LCdr, P&RT, RCN (Navy List Jul 1956)

* Honourably Released 10 Oct 1957 as a LCdr, RCN (Navy List Jan 1958)
