William James Derby

Born:  02 Sep 1886, Ettaville (Ettyville), Ontario

 

Died: 10 Sep 1959, Vancouver, British Columbia

 

Son of James and Katherine (née Dixon) Derby. Husband of Beatrice Francis Franklin. William and Beatrice were married in Ottawa, Ontario on 23 Dec 1921. At the time of their marriage, William resided in Didsbury, Alberta.  Prior to joining the Navy during the First World War, William worked as a Dairyman. He returned to his trade after the war. William and Beatrice had a daughter, Keitha Vivian Johnson (09 May 1924, Didsbury, AB - 30 Aug 1992, Vancouver, BC)
