He is also survived by Velmas brothers and sisters in Saskatchewan, whom he visited often. As well he leaves nieces and nephews in Saskatchewan. Bob was predeceased by his parents, aunts and uncles, as well many cousins in Winnipeg. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Bob joined the R.C.N.V.R. at HMCS Chippawa. Bob loved to garden where he grew beautiful roses and lilies. He shared his produce with "Grow a Row" for seniors. Bob and Velma built a home in Kirkfield Park in 1946 and lived there for 42 years, then moving to the Courts of St. James and later to Lions Place. Bob and Velma loved to travel, which took them to England, Scotland and Wales, New Zealand and Australia. They loved the north, which took them to Alaska, Yukon, Peace River, Lac Laroque, Churchill, Newfoundland and Labrador. They also cruised the Caribbean but missed the Panama Canal because of her health. Bob and Velma enjoyed a trip to Moose Jaw to visit family and Temple Garden Mineral Spa. They also enjoyed winters in Florida and Victoria B.C. At Bobs request no service will be held.
