Died: 07 Dec 2005, Richmond, British Columbia

 

FANSON, William Lloyd - Born Winnipeg, Manitoba March 4, 1919 Dad passed away peacefully on December 7, 2005 in Richmond Hospital. Predeceased by his mother Isabella, father Percival and sister Verna. Lloyd will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years Doreen, his three children: daughters Carol (Doug), Denise (Dave) and son Mark (Cindy). Lloyd was also known as Papa or Yo to grandchildren Ian (Lori), Brian (Joanne) and Alison Kendrick, Scott and Dean Jeffery and Keith and Kevin Fanson. He was the proud great-grandparent of the "Cobourg Cougars" Sarah and Leah Kendrick. Voracious reader, hockey player, track star, avid gardener, war veteran, curler, cyclist, animal lover and outdoor enthusiast. Dad was all those and more. Above all he was a "classy little man" a good friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Donations gratefully accepted to The S.P.C.A., Reiffel Bird Sanctuary or The Heart & Stroke Foundation of B.C. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 12, 2005 at 11:00am at The Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Rd, Richmond. (Vancouver Sun / The Province 10 Dec 2005)
