GETLEY, George A. - 86, Halifax, died April 8, 1995, in Armdale Estates Nursing Home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Henry and Louisa (Innes) Getley. He was a veteran of the Second World War, RCN. He was a member of St. Matthias Church, Halifax and a retired carpenter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are guardians, Catherine Slade, Halifax; Murray Boutilier, Bedford. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite; brothers, Charles, Horace, Stanton, Albert; sisters, Emily, Fay, Olive. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in Cruikshanks Halifax Funeral Home, Robie Street, Rev. Bill Dye officiating. Burial in St. John's Cemetery, Halifax.
