In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WEST, Roland George - Passed away peacefully early morning January 18, 2023 in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII. Rolly joined the RCN, Naval Air in 1951. While in the service he was stationed at Shearwater, Toronto, US Navy Virginia Beach, Germany and Borden; then retiring to field aviation Toronto International Airport as operations manager of the Avitat Terminal for several years. Back in Nova Scotia to Fall River in 1993. The onset of Parkinson's required a move to Camp Hill. My heartfelt gratitude to their staff for the excellent care he received. No visitation or memorial service as per his request. Donations in his memory may be made to Bide Awhile Animal Shelter or the Shearwater Aviation Museum. (The Halifax Chronicle-Herald 24 Jan 2023)
