In his younger years Dad moved to Truro with his parents and later relocated to Halifax where he joined the Navy in 1957 and would later meet and marry his beautiful wife Vivian at Trinity Anglican Church in 1962. He served on the Bonaventure and the Chaleur a mine sweeping ship. In the mid 60s, Cecil was stationed in St. Hubert Que with his family, Vivian and Cecil Jr. and later returned to Halifax in 1970. He kept up on worldly news and enjoyed chatting about current events. Dad would often be the primary driver for his grandchildren, taking them back-and-forth to school and visiting their favourite weekly restaurant. In Dad’s later years Cecil Jr. would accompany him to his doctor’s appointments and cherished the time spent with his dad.
