POLLOCK, Kenneth Francis - Born January 23, 1925 in Vancouver, BC. Passed away peacefully November 22, 2022 at Broadmead Lodge.

Ken was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Lorna. Survived by Rick (Joan), Tarey (Kim), Leigh, Shari, Deb (Norm), and sister Donna (Bill), 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Ken joined the navy in 1945 and retired in 1970, spending most of his career as a phys-ed instructor. After the navy, he pursued a variety of different jobs before settling on a career as a fuel delivery driver for Texaco.

Ken was active his whole life from gymnastics and volleyball in the navy to senior men's softball and bowling with Lorna.

He was always in great shape. His greatest passion was supporting his children in all of their sporting endeavors. Upon his retirement from Texaco, he and Lorna went on a dream RV trip across Canada, down the east coast of the US, across the Gulf states, and up the west coast and home. He also spent time enjoying his grandchildren, playing the water, building forts, riding bikes but his greatest joy was eating BBQ wieners right off the grill while he was cooking for the rest of his guests. Even though his later years were hampered by Alzheimer's, he still had a smile and a wave for anyone he met.

He will be missed.

Many thanks for the excellent care and support provided by the staff at Broadmead Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broadmead Lodge.

A a celebration of life for Kenneth will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, British Columbia V8Y1B4. (The Victoria Times Colonist 13 Jan 2023)
