STEWART, Earl Robert - Peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2004 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. 77 years of age. Loving husband of Jackie for over 42 years. Predeceased by his brothers Don and Ken and by his sister in law Helen. Dear brother in law of Doreen and Sandy Sullivan, and uncle of 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Mr. Stewart was veteran of WW II and a faithful member of the Royal Canadian Naval Association and was a crew member of HMCS Prince Robert. Mr. Stewart is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St., until Thursday where a Funeral Liturgy without mass will be celebrated at 11am. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 7-9pm. A service of the Royal Canadian Naval Association will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Memorial remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. (George Darte Funeral Chapel Inc.)

 

Earl's brother AB Kenneth William Stewart, RCNVR died in the grounding and wreck of HMCS SKEENA during the Second World War.
