In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BECHARD, Eunice Elaine (née REID) - age 82, of Halifax, passed away December 16, 2022, in Northwood Nursing Home. She was born July 28, 1940, in Yarmouth N.S., to Irene and Arthur Reid. She was raised in St. George, N.B., and enlisted in the Navy after High School. She married James Bechard in 1961 and retired from the Navy to become a homemaker, eventually returning to schooling in her 40’s. She graduated from Mt St Vincent University with a Bachelor’s degree. She is survived by her ex-husband, James Bechard; and her three children, Andre (Carol) in New Minas, Lisa in Toronto, and D’Arcy (Carol Ann) in Halifax; as well as her sister, Peggy Black; and brother, Richard Reid. She has 5 grandchildren, Chris, Sarah, Nicholas, Katherine, and Eric; and two step grandchildren, Anthony and Megan. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers, Jim and Stanley Reid. There will be no visitation, but a memorial service will be held in the new year. (The Saltwire Network 23 Dec 2022)
