JOHNSON, David Douglas - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Dave.
Dave was born in Vancouver and moved to Powell River as a baby. He left to join the navy but came back to Powell River once his service ended.
Over the course of his life, he moved around a bit but came back to Powell River in 1986 with his wife Victoria. Dave was a master carpenter and known for his woodworking crafts that he sold at the farmers' market.
Dave was also a longtime member of the Powell River Legion, which honoured him with a lifetime membership for his many years of service.
He is survived by his wife Victoria, sister Carol, son Jeff (Linda), daughter Laura (Boyd), grandsons Trevor (Lindsay) and Austin (Brooke), and great-granddaughters Madalynn and Lillian.
He was predeceased by his parents, daughter Kelly and son Noland.
