McCORVIE, Ronald Davidson (Ron) - With heavy hearts the family of Ron Davidson McCorvie, announce his passing on Dec. 17, 2022 after a battle with lung cancer. Ron was born in Dauphin Manitoba on May 17, 1947. He was predeceased by his mom and dad Lorna and Harry (Spark) McCorvie, infant brother Hugh Robert McCorvie, mother and father-in-law Thelma (Kit) and Thomas Chenette. Left to mourn him are his wife of 55 years, Judith Anne, daughters Veronica (Rickey) Day, Fort McMurray, Karen (JP) Houde, Dartmouth, NS, Joanne (DJ) Dalling, Fort McMurray and son Michael (Kaylie) McCorvie, Brandon, MB. Ron is also survived by his sisters Dianne (Bill) Poast and Lynda McCorvie, and his brothers Jack (Sharon) McCorvie and Doug (Brenda) McCorvie all of Dauphin, Manitoba. Grandkids Alixandra, Neil, Keith, and Zander and great grandkids Logan and Amya. There were also numerous nephew and nieces. Ron had a career in the Canadian Armed Forces and retired after 30 years with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. After his retirement he worked for Manitoba Lotteries for 12 years as a service technician. Ron was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at Ron’s request. If friends so desire, they may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
