MORIN, George Wilfred - November 24, 2022 George Wilfred Morin With broken hearts we announce George passed away November 21, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Magog, Que., August 2, 1941, he was a son of Viola and Wilfrid Morin. George joined the Canadian Navy in 1961, and served as a Marine Engineer until his release in 1986. He was posted to Halifax where he met and married Vivian whom he was married to for 48 years. George could most often be found in his woodshop creating beautiful pieces for their home or loved ones. He was very handy and was often asked to help with projects by friends and family. He enjoyed being outside, hunting and spending time at his cottage. George is survived by his wife, Vivian; and daughters, Monique (Patrick Lavigne) and Marcia; sisters, Beverly (Lionel Cote), and Nancy (Gilles Frechette); brothers, Bob, Bruce (Maureen) and Stephen (Maxine); grandchildren, Jeremy, Kianna, and Gabriel; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation and funeral service will be held in Atlantic Funeral Homes at 771 Main St. Visitation will be Friday November 25th 6-8 p.m., funeral service Saturday November 26th at 11 a.m. with small reception to follow. Burial will take place at St. Anselm’s Cemetery at 2 p.m.. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. (The Saltwire Network 24 Nov 2022)
