Robert's brother, LS John Alfred Fourner, RCNVR, died 22 Feb 1945 when his ship, HMCS TRENTONIAN was torpedoed by U-1004. John's service file notes that his brother Robert King Fournier was serving in the RCNVR at the time of John's death.
