In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BURNS, Arthur William (Art) - Ten years has passed and it feels like yesterday. We miss your smile, laughter, chatting and you're love. We miss your reminders of how life is good no matter what difficulties that occur and how fortunate we are to live in a peaceful country like Canada. We miss that your grandchildren and great-grandchildren have not had the time with you and honour to have known you. Like you would say ?there's always a positive out of something?, and that is, we see you're smiles, laughter and mannerism in them. You do live on through us and them. Although you are missed we are reminded by your friends and acquaintances that you were a great guy ! You will always be in our hearts, Cherished and treasured. On November 11th, each year at 11 a.m. we stand in remembrance of the veterans and you for that minute we honour all of you ! You are sadly missed ! With love, Marriette, Paulette, Judith, Rod, Conrad and Robert, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. (The Sudbury Star 22 Oct 2010)
* note: it is believed that Arthur William Burns is the same Arthur Burns that is mentioned in the Wedding Annoucement of CPO Arthur Edward Saxby
