LABBE, Romeo Paul Joseph - Born on May 5, 1930 died in his sleep on July 12, 2022, with loving family by his side. Loving husband of Mary Therese (nee Boudreau) having shared 68 years of marriage on July 17, 2022. Proud father of Philip Joseph (1955), Philip Angus (Cathy), Kathy (Robert), Pauline (Eric), Myra (1990), son-in-law Norm (Linda). Predeceased by his parents Bernadette (nee Hebert), and Henry. Predeceased by siblings Bernard (Julie), Edmond (Leona), Nick (Mary), Germaine and Lorraine. Survived by brother-in-law Vern Carter, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Special brother-in-law to Lucille (Val), and Almira (Neil). Pepe of Adam (Liz), Matthew (Sophia), Rick (Elena), James (Marie), Heather (Rudy), Alisha (Brad) and Allison (Jessy), Great-Pepe to Ashly, Kyle, Patrick, Dominique, Devin, Patricia, Lainey, Emma, and Olivia. Dad was in the Navy in Halifax, Nova Scotia and loved to tell stories about all the ships he'd been on and how he met Mom, married her and brought her back to Windsor in 1956. Romeo was passionate about his job with the CNR where he worked many years as a Carmen. The family would like to thank Dr. Cargill, Dr. Albert Ng, the entire Hospice team, the staff of Erie St. Clair LHIN, and the entire staff of Paramed nursing and PSWs. A special thank you to Kaitlyn, Dad's nurse who adopted our family as her own. Red was a man of great faith, watching Mass and praying the Rosary daily with Mom, which carried him through the last six months dealing with colon cancer and COPD. Cremation has taken place, Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 804 Grand Marais Rd. on Wednesday July 20, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements under the guidance of Windsor Chapel (Central location) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, (519) 253-7234. In kindness memorial tributes made directly to the Hospice of Windsor Essex County in Red's memory.
