Died: 27 Sep 2006

 

Served in the RCN 18 Nov 1940 - 17 Nov 1965

 

MacQUEEN, Charles (Charlie) - Passed away peacefully on September 27, 2006. Charlie was born in Penticton, BC in 1921. He proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years and finished his work career at Eatons. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Marie. He was predeceased by his daughter Joy (Hewlett). Survived by daughter and son-in-law Paulette and Clyde Smith, son and daughter-inlaw Jim and Linda MacQueen, son-in-law Don Hewlett, brother George (Flo) McQueen, and five loving grandchildren: Janai, Travis, Kyla, Adam, and Cody, as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the wonderful staff of Saanich Peninsula Hospital. A memorial service will be held at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, and will be followed by a reception.
