MEAGHER, Patrick James - Died in Lady Minto Hospital on Salt Spring Island, B.C., August 22, 2006. Pat was born in Drumheller, Alberta, July 14, 1924. He is predeceased by one brother and five sisters. He is survived by his wife Phyllis. They were married fifty seven years on August 3, 2006. Pat served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years. He saw service in World War II, and Korea. On his retirement Pat and Phyllis moved to Salt Spring Island in 1968, and were active in the community. A Memorial Mass was held in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Salt Spring Island on Wed., September 6th. Interment is in the Veteran's Cemetery in Esquimalt. A service will be held by the Chief and Petty Officers Association at the Esquimalt Legion, Tuesday, September 19th, at 2:00 pm. Cremation by Haywards Funeral.
