Died: 19 Nov 2005, Victoria, British Columbia

 

MIRON, Edward Philip - After a lengthy illness, Edward Miron died on November 19th, 2005, at Hospice. Leaving to mourn his passing is his friend and love of 24 years, Eva Craycroft, and because they were the pride and joy of his life, his grandchildren are listed next: Keir Miron, Vancouver, Lloyd Kisby, Australia, Joshua (Vive), Nathan (Aislinn), Nicole, Michael, Ryan, Natasha, Tamara Craycroft, Victoria and 2 great-grandchildren. Ed's sons, Charlie (Darcy), Vancouver, Bob (Jacquie), Victoria, his daughter, Trish (Michael), Australia; Eva's sons, Rezin (Marg) and Clayton Craycroft; Ed's sister, Janet Martin and her family, Eva's sisters, Gladys (Tim) and Phyllis (Wayne), good friends Lotte and Uwe, Ken, Bill and Peter. Ed's friends and family will miss his wit, his story telling, his sharing his love of music and classic movies and the children will especially miss the "Candyman". Whenever Ed showed up, the kids knew that Ed would have treats for them. Ed retired from the Canadian Navy in 1976 after 25 years of service, and having served 3 tours in Korea. After leaving the Navy, he worked for Greater Victoria Drug and Alcohol Rehab Society, retiring as Detox Administrator in 1986. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30th, at First Memorial Funeral Services Chapel, 4725 Falaise Drive, in Royal Oak. (250) 658-5244 Flowers gratefully declined.
