MACKAY, George Armstrong - Born in Souris, Manitoba. George is survived by his loving wife, Vicky, his sister Catherine and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all. George served overseas during the Second World War as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy. After the war George returned to Canada and remained involved with the Navy and enjoyed his HAM radio activities until his passing. At George's request a private family service will be held. Donations in George's memory may be made to the Navy's Chief and Petty Officers Association. (The Victoria Times Colonist 21 Feb 2003)
