Claude was born January 16, 1931, in Canterbury, N.B. He left Canterbury when he joined the Navy. While stationed in Halifax he met the love of his life and married a short time later. After having children, he left the Navy and worked for Day & Ross before leaving to work for The Bank of Canada until his retirement in 1986. Claude was a very hardworking, honest, gentleman. He enjoyed listening to fiddle music, spending time at the camp in Canterbury, being in the woods and seeing wildlife in their natural habitat. He liked socializing over a game of cards and always had a story to tell. He loved being surrounded by family and always had his best naps when the house was full of busy grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a great husband and a proud, supportive and much-loved father who will be greatly missed. The family will receive visitors Friday June 3rd from 6-8 p.m., in Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home 5 Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage, masks are encouraged. A celebration of life will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday June 4th in St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Eastern Passage. We ask that people remain masked while moving around and singing.
