MORRIS, Clarence Harry - Age 99. The family sadly announces the passing of Clarence Harry (Bub) Morris on Tuesday May 24, 2022, in the Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building in Halifax. He was born on August 16, 1922, in Port Greville, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. He was the son of the late Winston and Effie (Parsons) Morris. He met his wife Doris Coombs in Milton, Queens County while serving in the Canadian Navy during World War II and they were married on June 23, 1945, in Milton. They moved shortly thereafter to Halifax where he began his post naval career as a Professional Engineer. He spent 27 years with Imperial Oil retiring in 1982. Clarence's passion remained with the sea, and he spent many years sailing out of the Armdale Yacht Club, sailing up and down the Nova Scotia coast with his family. He had a long and varied list of hobbies throughout his life including boat building, gardening, oil painting, and being a Ham radio operator. But his most favorite past time was spending weekends at the cottage he built on Long Lake in Waterloo, Lunenburg County. Clarence is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Allan (Cathy) Morris, Richard (Margie) Morris and Warren (Cheryl) Morris; and daughters, Janet Morris (Guy Corman) and Kathy Morris. Also survived by grandchildren, Carrie Morris (Mike Burfitt), Angela Spiteri, Jennnifer (Melissa) Morris, Tim Morris (Ashley Chase), Lindsay (Justin) Reitzel, Emily Morris; and great-grandchildren, Sadie Morris, Janey Morris, Henry Burfitt and Anne Reitzel. Funeral arrangements are under care of Atlantic Funeral Homes 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Cremation has taken place with a private family service will be held at a later date.
