HUGHES, William Wesley Homer - It is with great sadness to announce the passing of William (Willie) Hughes a lifelong resident of Oakville. Willie is survived by his wife Beverley, daughters Angela Parker, Shari Inglehart (Steve) and their families. His stepsons Bob and Ron Hunter and their families. Also survived by his sister in laws Betty and Edith Hughes, Marlene Mink, Susan Osborne (Rock) and many nieces and nephews. Willie was the youngest and last surviving member of his immediate family. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and May Hughes, sisters Lillie and Winnie and brothers Charlie, Roy, and Reggie. Willie was an avid motorcyclist for most of his adult life. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy for five years 1955 to 1960 and was a member of The Royal Legion, Oakville Branch Branch 114 for over 50 years. At his own request, there will be no service, cremation has taken place and a private interment at a later date. If desired donations may be made in his memory to the Royal Canadian Legion, Oakville Branch 114, The Alzheimer's Society of Ontario, and the Canadian Cancer Society.
