In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BOUCHARD, Philip G. - Born in Kelowna, B.C. It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of my beloved Husband Phil who passed away suddenly and peacefully on Tuesday, March 4th, 2008. A World War 2 Veteran returned he served with the Canadian Armed Forces, Navy Combined Operations 1942 - 1945, receiving 5 War decorations. He also served with the Merchant Navy and was an active Member of Army Navy Air Force Veterans Taurus Unit #298. Phil then joined the Vancouver Police Department and served for 32 years with pride, 1948 - 1980 receiving Service Medal Bar and Maple Leaf. He is survived by his loving Wife Cleone and Family. Phil will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was "Simply the Best," The Gem of the Ocean and the Acme of Generosity. I would like to thank my family for their wonderful support and love and to our Friends for all their kindness. Cremation - No Service, by request. Interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 - 72nd Ave, Surrey B.C. (The Vancouver sun / the Province 13 Mar 2008)
