In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
JACQUOT, Rene - With love and sadness in our hearts we say goodbye to a most loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather at the age of 92 years. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family who meant everything to him. Rene was predeceased by his loving wife Norma (2007). He was a very loving father to Sharon and Frank Kelly, Rene and Lia of London, Deborah and Richard White, Susan and Mike Dzikowicz of Michigan, Raymond and Ildiko, Tina (Tom) Couch, Marianne and John Gilbert, Ronald, and Joseph and Tanya. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather of many. The son of the late Gustave and Julia Jacquot. He is survived by brother Henry, sisters Aline Gratton, Denise Gammon, Loretta Nelson, Suzanne Hansen, and Helen Durocher and predeceased by brother August (1922) and sister Jeanne Ferrari (2012). Special thank you to Marianne and Ronald for taking extra special care of dad. Dad was a proud WWII Navy veteran who served and protected his country with great pride. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made out to St. Pauls Church. In honour of Rene's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are requested to gather at St. Paul's Church (5885 Malden Road, LaSalle) on Friday for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Inurnment to be held at a later date.
