CROMBIE, William Stuart - Peacefully, at Highgate Nursing Home, on 26th May, 2007, Stewart, beloved husband of Betty, much loved father of Irene and Robert, dear father-in-law of Gordon and Irene and loving grandfather of Stewart, Wendy and Lynne. Funeral service at Daldowie Crematorium Broomhouse, on Tuesday, 5th June, commencing at 10 a.m.  Family flowers only, please

 


 

William was sometimes known as "Buckie" as he came from the fishing port of Buckie in North East Scotland.  He served in the RCNVR as a Telegraphist aboard HMCS PORT ARTHUR and later HMS LEITH.
