DELISLE, J. Alfred François - Passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 in La Villa Acadienne in Meteghan. Born August 3, 1934, son of Eleanor and Willie Delisle in Thetford Mines, Que. François is survived by his wife, Eveline; children, Isabelle (Barry), Eric (Carmen) and Lisa; brothers, André, Louie, and sister, Pierrette; grandchildren, Justin, Sara, Michael, Jonathan, Joey and Nicole. He was predeceased by first wife, Lise; sisters, Therese, Louise, and Francoise; younger brother, Claude; daughter, Michelle. After a career in the military reaching a rank of Lieutenant Commander as a helicopter pilot, he put his talents to work painting and wood carving creating many works of art. He was committed to the church community and involved in community projects. He was also a member of the Aliant Pioneers helping with schooling for under-privileged children. We would like to thank all the staff at La Villa Acadienne for their excellent loving care and support over the past few years and a special thanks to Dr. Chandler. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the construction of the new Villa Acadienne facilities.
