Died: 17 Mar 2005, White Rock, British Columbia

 

SEALEY, Elva Marian (née ROBERTSON) - beloved wife of Stan Sealey, passed away at Peace Arch Hospital on March 17, 2005, age 83. Predeceased by her son, Scott, she is lovingly remembered by her husband Stan, children: Wayne, Loralee and Beverlee and grandchildren: Jesse, Jenna and Kimberley. Elva Marian was born August 27, 1921 in Lawson, Saskatchewan. She was raised on the family homestead with her two brothers and three sisters. Elva taught school in rural Saskatchewan following her graduation from Normal School in Moose Jaw. She later enlisted in the navy (Wrens) and was stationed in Newfoundland during WWII. Elva married Stan Sealey April 21, 1951. The family moved from Regina to Victoria in 1966 following Stan's retirement. She loved her time in Victoria and made many friends through curling at the Racquet Club and Oak Bay Rec Centre. Elva and Stan later moved to Tsawwassen, then White Rock. Mom inspired her children to be their best. She will be remembered for her keen mind, quick smile and tender heart. She earned the love and respect of all those privileged to know her. No funeral at Mom's request. Interment at Victory Memorial Park Cemetery, 14831-28th Ave., Surrey/White Rock B.C. on March 24, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
