DEMONE, Frederick E (Sr.) - 91, 153 Creighton Street, passed away on March 8 1992 in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital. Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of the late Charles and Eunice (Hamm) Demone. He worked more than 40 years for Lunenburg Foundry and Engineering Ltd and served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War ll. He was a life member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #23, Lunenburg. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lunenburg, and a member of the church's male choir. He is survived by his wife, the former Edith Fanning; two daughters, Eileen (Mrs Bruce Dares) of Lunenburg, and Lucille (Mrs Ralph Nowe) of Gloucester, Ontario; a brother Wilfred of Kingston, Ontario; a step sister Florence of Windsor, NS; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Fred Edgar (Buddy) Jr; an infant grandchild; two brothers, Basil and Frank; a sister Catherine; and two half brothers, Harry and George Winters. The body rested at Dana L Sweeny Funeral Home in Lunenburg. The funeral service was held Wednesday, March 11 1992, from Zion Lutheran Church, the Rev James Slack officiating with the Zion male choir in attendance. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
