EYOLFSON, Lorne Douglas - Peacefully on November 21, 2021, Lorne Douglas Eyolfson, aged 95 years, passed away at the Lundar Personal Care Home.
Lorne leaves to mourn his sister Shirley Gibson (Jim) and brother William Eyolfson; sisters-in-law, Betty Eyolfson and Gloria Eyolfson; along with his nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Pauline; brothers, David and Fred and his sister-in-law Evelyn Eyolfson.
Lorne was born in Lundar, MB. He worked for Resolute Forest Products in Thunder Bay, ON, then retired to Florida. There he became a Real Estate Agent. Enjoying this profession, he started his own business called Lundar Realty as a Broker/Owner. Lorne retired once again to Lundar.
Lorne was a Second World War Veteran in the Navy starting at the age of 17 years. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Lundar Branch #185 for 75 years.
He was known for wearing his shorts through the summer until late November. He enjoyed his early morning walks and had a love for little dogs and cats.
Cremation has taken place and a service will take place in the Spring of 2022. (Winnipeg Free Press 04 Dec 2021)
