Died: 22 Sep 2007

 

THIEMAN, Beartice Mildred (née LANGTON) - was born on August 21, 1918 at Winnipeg, Manitoba to Stephen and Eliza Langton. She passed away on September 22, 2007 at B.G.H. after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony in 1989. Survived by her loving family - daughter Susan (Ed); son Michael (Teresa); grandchildren: David (Shannon) Wearing, Steven and Ray. Barry (David) Thieman, Nicole (Jamie) Neufeld; great-grandchildren: Jordan and Brian Wearing. Mildred served in the W.R.C.N.S. from 1943-1945 in Prince Rupert where she meet and married Tony. She was employed at Simpson Sears mail order catalogue in Burnaby for almost 20 years. Mildred belonged to Rebekah Illahie Lodge #30, Burnaby. She was also involved in U.C.W. - Pitt Meadows and Port Coquitlam, Ridge Meadows Ex-Service Women's, Vancouver WRCNS Assn. and the RCL - Maple Ridge. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Finnish Manor in Burnaby where she resided for just over the past year. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity. Memorial service to be held on Thursday, September 27th at 11:00 am at Trinity United Church, 2211 Prairie Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. Reception to follow.
