Died: 18 May 2005

McINTYRE, Alma Helen (née CARMICHAEL) - Passed away in her 82nd year May 18, 2005 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her parents, her dear husband Steve and sister June. She will be sadly missed by her brother Bill Carmichael, sister Barbara Knapp and other family members and friends. Alma always lived her life on her own terms, starting with her enlistment in the WRCNS in WW II. She was an accountant and a talented wild life photographer, but found her true calling as the owner of The Blue Heron antiques store for 25 years. We'll remember her high spirits, keen mind and her passion for books and jazz. Thanks to the Mt. St. Joseph staff for their excellent care. No service by request. Donations may be made to the Stephen McIntyre Book Prize in History c/o University Advancement, SFU, 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC V5A 1S6. (Vancouver Sun / The Province 21 May 2005)
