CLAXTON, Charles Darryl - He was born in London, Ontario and passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on October 17, 2021. Husband to Evelyn Carol Ann Abbott, father /step-father to Lori Claxton (Mike), Leah Claxton-Vandenberk (Martin), Michael Abbott (Pam), Mark Abbott (Cherie), and Matthew Abbott (Nikki). Brother to Donna Hall, Dolores Johnson, Richard Claxton (Karen), Sharon Fredman (Marc), Gary Claxton, Carol Cordeiro (Bob). Grandpa/Papa to Andrew, Kaitlyn, Alison, Zackary, Curtis, Josh, Paige, Austin, Justin and Adam. Great-grandpa to Annabella, William and Charlie. Darryl served in the Canadian Air Force and Navy, he co-owned North Erie Marina in Port Bruce for 20+ years and was an avid outdoorsman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2 - 4 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Dorchester. (Aylmer Express 19 Oct 2021)
