CLARK, Daniel Lea (Dan), Bscn - It is with broken hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing on Nov 8th, 2021 of our beloved Dan, age 40, born and raised in Charlottetown and lived the remainder of his years in Nanaimo and Parksville Vancouver Island. Dan was the proud father of Riley and Raya Clark (mother, Erin Adams); treasured son of Heather Murray, Dr. Barry Clark and step-mother Janice Clark; younger brother of Andrea Clark - Grignon (Kevin Grignon) and Adam Clark (Stefanie Richard); step- brother of Sara (Derrick) Walser and Steven (Krystal) Lenentine; survived by nieces and nephews, Ethan and Emmy Clark, Grayden and Cora-Abbie Grignon, Hudson and Camden Walser; numerous other family members, colleagues and many special friends - Rose Grasser, Graham Butler, Ryan Aubuchon, Anthony Curtis, Paul Grannon, Chad Dingwell, Kris Young, Gail and Brent Cooper with special thanks to Guy Vigneault. Growing up, Dan was a lively, happy boy with a keen sense of humor. He was also a gifted learner. He engaged in various sports and was especially good at baseball. He had a special affinity to music and musical theatre and acting with membership in the Confederation Centre Boys Choir, school plays, and key performances on stage and television. After graduating from Colonel Gray, Dan volunteered his advanced computer skills working with NetCorps in both Canada and Ukraine. He spent a short time in the RCN before his studies in music at Malaspina College on Vancouver Island then changed his focus to the University of Vancouver Island where he earned his degree in Nursing. In his daily life and his career in the field of Mental Health and Addictions, Dan reserved judgement and felt compassion and truly made a difference in the lives of many people. We will remember Dan as a brave man, loved by many for his kind heart and gentle spirit. He was deeply committed to the thought of home and held his family next to his heart, in particular his cherished children Riley (10) and Raya (6). There will be a Memorial service on Vancouver Island at the Errington War Memorial Hall from 1-4p.m. on Nov. 20th and a private candlelight Memorial Celebration in Charlottetown at St. Paul’s Anglican Church (by invitation) on Dec. 16th at 5 p.m. Both services will be live-streamed via zoom. Donations to Dan’s children’s trust fund at Riley and Raya's GoFundMe campaign: https://gofund.me/60fafd04 would be greatly appreciated. (Saltwire Network 17 Nov 2021)
