Bradly Ray Zolmer

Died: 22 Oct 2021

 

ZOLMER, Bradley Ray - of Lawrencetown NS passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 22, 2021 . Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan he was the son of Mary Lynn and the late Don Zolmer.

 

Brad began his career in the Royal Canadian navy on the West Coast at CFB Esquimalt. He served in the Gulf war on HMCS HURON in 1991 and was proud to be part of boarding operations as well as electrical engineering. In 1992 he and his wife Laura returned to the Halifax where he remained stationed for the remainder of his 32 yrs of service. Serving in 2 tours of the Gulf war and Kuwait, Afghanistan. He was very knowledgeable in his trade and enjoyed his time with college's teaching and mentoring. Brad retired from the Navy at age 49 where he began a new career working for Fleetway . He really enjoyed his time working alongside some fantastic colleges and friends. Always there to lend help when needed. His one true love was for his family who he held dear. Always taking care and providing the way for his wife and children. He truly loved being home and surrounded by family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Farewell love till we meet again.

 

Brad is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura (Keddy) and his children William (Billy), Christina and Anthony, mother Mary Lynn (Willie) Zolmer, siblings: Steve (Cheryl) Calgary, Audra Saskatoon and Dawn ( Les) Fetter Alberta. Many nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by: his father Don Zolmer, Saskatoon,  SK, grandmother: Odelia Willie, Delisle, SK, Father in law Jim Keddy, NS, mother in-law Sharon Keddy, NS.

 

Funeral celebrating Brads life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday October 29, 2021, at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church., 10 Maple Street, Dartmouth.

 

Donations may be made in his name to :St. Vincent de Paul society or charity of choice.
