Edward (Ed) Fehr

Born: 29 Nov 1937, Altona, Manitoba

 

Died: 14 Oct 2021, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

FEHR, Edward (Ed) - 83 of Bedford formerly of Lakelands Passed away peacefully in The Halifax Infirmary on October 14, 2021, following a stroke. Born in Altona, Manitoba on November 29th, 1937, he was the son to the late Isaac and Anna (Rempel) Fehr

 

Ed came to the East Coast and started his career with the Royal Canadian Navy, serving for 25 years. He later worked at ACL for 10 years. Ed loved to travel by planes, trains, automobiles, and cruise ships.

 

Ed is survived by his wife Lois Page-Fehr, son Jeff (Corine) Fehr, Halifax, stepdaughters Cheryl Munroe, Halifax and Donna (Roger) Lamy, Lower Sackville, stepson-in law Ron Goldring, brother Ben, BC, stepsister Heather Miller, Manitoba, sisters -in-law Margery Fehr and Delores Duris both of Alberta, friend of the family Clare Crane, BC, several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

 

Besides his parents, Ed is predeceased by his first wife Eva (Cochrane) Fehr, brother Alan Fehr, stepdaughter Terry Goldring and nephew Mitchell Fehr.

 

Cremation has taken place, a private family Committal Service will take place at Church of The Holy Spirit Cemetery, Lakelands.

 

Donations in Ed’s honor may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Souls Harbour Rescue Mission or Canadian Cancer Society.
