ANTHONY, Wesley Frederick - aged 65, of Dartmouth passed away on August 21, 2021 at Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Scarborough Township, Ontario, he was a son of the late Harold Wesley and Jean Amelia (Booker) Anthony.

Wes had many passions in life. He loved the outdoors and would spend long hours birdwatching. He also enjoyed baking, exploring the genealogy of his family and collecting coins and stamps. However, his greatest passions in life were his grandchildren, Addison and Ethan. Wes was in the Canadian Navy for 20 years, stationed in Montreal, Vancouver and Halifax and he achieved the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class as an Above Water Warfare Director. Upon retirement, Wes took on several jobs but by far his favourite was looking after his grandchildren for the past 10 years.

Wes is survived by his loving wife Odette Edith (Boudreau), sons Jonathan (Marianne), Christopher (Amanda), daughter Monique, sister Tracey Kathleen (Jerry) Bloomfield, 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Wesley is predeceased by his brother, Frederick Gardiner Anthony.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday August 31, 2021 from 6-8PM at Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street Dartmouth. Due to current restrictions, the number of people allowed indoors at any one time will be limited but all are welcome. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 11AM, also at the funeral home with Deacon Bernie Coffin officiating. The burial will follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
