Born: 25 Oct 1886, Bay Roberts, Newfoundland

 

Died: 09 Apr 1973, Chicago, Illinois, USA

 

HOOD, James Arthur - was born in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland to Charles and Caroline (Parsons) Hood.  He joined the RNCVR on 01 Mar 1916 and served as a Wireless Telegraphist 2nd Class. James married Eveline F. (Lynn) Blankeney on 15 Jul 1916 in Sydney, Cape Breton, NS. They had one son, Ivan Blakeney Hood, born 02 Apr 1919, Sable Island, NS.  James and family moved to Owen Sound, Ontario c1923.  They later Ivan moved to the USA on 09 Dec 1921. James and Eveline divorced (date unknown). James later married Ida Kastner in Chicago on 01 Jan 1930.
