FLAHERTY, Stanley Frank - Age 93, of Dartmouth, passed peacefully on August 12, 2021. Born in Kitchener, ON, he was a son of the late James and Violet Flaherty. Survived by daughter, Tina (Nelson) Raftus; son, Todd (Carla); grandchildren, Julia (Jonathan), Stephanie (Robie) and Bradley; sister, Jean Sivyer. Predeceased by wife, Myrtle; siblings, James, Margaret Ernst and Noreen Beech; companion, Betty. Stanley was a member of the Canadian Forces; he worked for the Navy for 25 years, as well as the Canadian Coast Guard and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 31. Stanley was a longtime volunteer at Margaret’s House in Dartmouth. Special thanks to the staff of 5th floor Dartmouth General Hospital for their care and compassion. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
