BENNETT, Robert G. - We, the family of the late Robert G. Bennett, are saddened to announce his passing on Sunday August 1, 2021 in New Glasgow, NS, at the age of 80. Robert was the beloved husband of Geraldine Bennett for 60 years. Cherished father to Rob, Trevor, Sandra (Campbell) and Michael. Grandfather to Emily, Scott, Riley, Dylan, Jessica, Kayden and Kinsly, and Great-Grandfather to Bennett and Weston. Robert was a veteran from the Royal Canadian Navy and was proud to serve. He faithfully taught Tai Chi classes to many for decades. His desire to learn and grow led to many projects. He had a willingness to help anyone and appreciated making others laugh. Robert held a strong connection to his Newfoundland home and Mi’kmaq heritage. He is greatly loved and will be sadly missed by the many friends and family, whose lives he has touched. A private graveside service will be held in the Sunny Brae Cemetery, Sunny Brae. (Angus Funeral Homes)
