HENDERSON, Lloyd Melbourne - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lloyd Henderson on February 7, 2021 at London, Ontario in his 95th year. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Joyce (2019), his parents Charles and Idella Henderson, daughter Gail; brother Cecil; and sisters Dorothy White and Winnie Roberts. He leaves to mourn his daughter, Laurie, who has been his constant caregiver and companion. His children: Dianne (Wilson), Greg (Debbie) and Kevin (Rosemary). His grandchildren: Mark, Stephen, Jay, Ryan, Kolin, Jillian, Shevon and Andrea; his sister-in-law Marilyn (Bill) Kohout and brother-in-law Clinton White; and step-sons Mike and Pat McNorgan. Lloyd was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick, where he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy and served in the Second World War. His adventures finally led him to London, Ontario where he raced, trained and drove Standard bred horses. He also loved working for Canada Post and retired in the late 1980's. His passion was long road trips with his wife, putting more miles on his car than most long haul truckers. He had a great mind for current events and sports and loved to have a good debate about politics and religion. Many thanks to his family doctor of many years, Dr. Jason Hostetler, and the doctors and staff on D6 400's at the Victoria Hospital London Health Sciences Centre who took such great care of Dad in his last days, most especially Nurse Meaghan. No service by request. Cremation has taken place and his cremated remains will be interred with his wife Joyce at Woodland Cemetery in London, Ontario. (London Free Press 09 Feb 2021)
