In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SIMMONS, Robert E. - age 80, of Halifax passed away on July 8, 2021, at home. Born in Toronto, Ontario, he was the son of Walter and Lucy Simmons. Robert was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy, Painters and Allied Trades Union, as well as C.U.P.E Union member. Robert is survived by his loving wife Mary (Pope) of 57 years and their son, Shawn (Patty); daughter, Denise. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Larry; sisters, Helen, and Phyllis. Robert, fondly known as “Solly” is gone but not forgotten. (Halifax Today 20 Jul 2021)
