Age 91

 

ELDRIDGE, Wilfred Perley - passed away May 29, 2015. He was born in Beaver Harbour, New Brunswick, Canada to the late Grace and Claire Eldridge. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy at a young age and upon discharge from the Navy in 1945, he owned and operated several barber shops in Canada and the U.S.A. He moved to Jacksonville in 1957 and became a naturalized citizen in 1962. He is survived by a loving family, his wife of 65 years Helen, his daughter Jacqueline and son Peter. Also surviving are his brothers, Carmen, Ernie, Glen, Myles, James and David and his sisters, Shirley Quigly, June Markee and Jean Eldridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Scott Baker and Dr. Julius Gorospe and Vitas Hospice for their excellent care. Wilfred will be missed by all and we will cherish the memory of his kindness and caring for all. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 6, 2015 in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Jacksonville, Fl. USA 32211 with Rev. Keith Foskey officiating.
